You can download it here
Click Me (http://www.khaotik.net/4nu/docskunk.rar)
Unrar and drop it into your Cstrike/materials/logos folder and select it with the CSS browser.
The UI folder goes into the UI folder of the logos directory, it contains a twealed environment map.

The white pixels disappear ingame. This forums hate the uncoded blocks.

.... vtf files have to go directly into
cstrike\materials\VGUI\logos
because you cannot import vtf's..... they have to be manually put into the correct folder...
if your gonna drop a file for someone make sure you give them good instructions please.

Th3dj I suggest you go look again. I have been devving with the half life and hl2 engines far longer than you.
The Hl2 Browser (CSS) recognizes jpeg, bmp, tga and VTF.
Look to the picture below.
http://www.khaotik.net/4nu/VTF.png

By using the browser, it creates its own VMT file, since I do not know his account name to create one for him.
Also, The HL Engine uses command line Vtex, a free open source program.
Jpg bmp tga and VTF are the only file types it CAN inport, and VTF and VMT are the only file types it can export.
Please learn more about the Source engine before saying I am giving bad directions.
Also on the same note.
FPSBANANA authors release their sprays as VTF's and tell you to IMPORT them into CSS.
Just a headsup =D

perhaps you can tell me why then i had to walk him thru where to put the file so that he could actually use it. because he came to me for help with the import browser didn't see the file. also tell me why when ender made me a few sprays and gave them to me in that exact same format i had the exact same issue.

Cool it ladies.

For the record, the vtf & vmt's do need to be in the materials > vgui > logos.

If you just import it you may lost some features / quality. (Transaprency, etc.)

IT goes into The Counterstrikesource/folder.
Its the default file.
The Reason why its to be imported, is so it is converted FROM Dx5 OneBitA from Vtex to
DX5 with Alternate alpha.
Those "white" blocks in the spray are actually a shadow layer, that sourceconverts to the proper colour.
Dx5 One bit Should ALWAYS be ran through the import processes, to remove "noise".
No offense Dot, but that is how its done with One Bit Alpha files.
Other wise, you get "flecks"

Note Dx5 One bit is NOT the same as Dx5.

Also, I'd like to add, Ive done this for over 3 years.
Ive never had an issue, with browser importing RAW VTF files.

I dont need the fancy terms and explanations no one is reading.

Im just simply saying, when i add sprays, and i try to import them normally it will not work right. Either the background will be all white, or the quality will look like shit.

So i create a vtf and vmt file from my sprays and put them in materials > vgui > logos. Then import the vtf by going there with the browser.

This has also worked for everyone else i helped that couldnt get their sprays working.

JUst on a sidenote, if the VMT and VTF files are in the /logos/ and you copy the VMT into the /UI/ you do not need to IMport.
Also, Unless you know an account name, you use the importer to create one.

IN any case, Skunk has his spray, and if you wish to continue this discussion, we can do it over steam.

ya, i saw him spray his spray in GG yesterday, looked liked an ordinary picture instead of transparentcy like mine is. So he did something wrong

it even had a black backgroud around it

Dx5 With One bit will do that if its not imported correctly.
Ill upload a Dx5 converted file from my Cstrike. One sec.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Not surewhy it is not working for Dot, but my import function generates a VTF in my sprays. Doesnt seem to work for a few others.
So I apologize for that =D
However, it does work, and I am unsure why it doesnt work for a few others now.
At anyrate, Ive unloaded the converted files.
IF your shaders and texture are on high, and your using DirectX9 or better will not look black. Updated the post under Skunks, Skunk if you will redownload =D

ok, then it works? Good shit skunk.

yeah, i have this problem in every server sometimes, like, it'll be transparent, then randomly outa the blue, it'll be a regular spray again, with a black outline around it and white background.

problem solved, case closed =D
